Obesity and inactivity in Australia and other westernised countries are creating one of the biggest health challenges of our time. The causes of and therefore solutions to obesity and inactivity sometimes fall in two camps; one argues that the individual is responsible for their activity level and weight status and the other argues that structural determinants, which are beyond an individual's control, impact on a person's activity levels andweight status.

This is a structured essay, which should include a brief introduction and conclusion (total 200 words). Students are to draw their evidence from the unit readings.
