Some helpful hints for Module 8's Euthanasia assignment.

Start off with an APA title page.

Always write papers in an essay paragraph form and do not complete them like you are filling out a worksheet.

On the first page of the paper after the title page you will start off your Essay with an informative introduction that sets this up for the reader (this is the area most students are missing out on points as they jump in and the reader is unclear as to what the purpose of the paper is). This should be a paragraph. Here you should be setting up for the reader that you will be discussing the types of euthanasia and the differences between them (active versus passive), ethical issues raised by each type and what the laws in your state regarding euthanasia are.

After your introduction paragraph you will then begin your essay by discussing the types of euthanasia and the differences between them (active versus passive) To demonstrate your understanding and application of the information you should present cited sources for the reader (make sure to cite the source and please note that at least two scholarly sources should be used in addition to course material).

In your next paragraph, you will then discuss ethical issues raised by each type. Again, provide a strong reason and then provide an example of this to further support your position.

In your next paragraph you will discuss what the laws in your state regarding euthanasia are (cite the source that you pull the laws from).

In your final paragraph, you will summarize the paper. A summary is not a rewrite of the original piece and does not have to be long nor should it be long. Use your own words to express briefly the main idea and relevant details of what you have written. Your purpose in writing the summary is to give the basic ideas of the original reading. What was it about and what did the author want to communicate?
