Solve the all parts of given problem:

Problem: A drill string that is made of pip 5 inches outside diameter and 4.276 inches inside diameter is stuck when drilling at 11,000 ft. Assume that the stuck point is at a depth of 9,000 ft and it was observed that the drill string stretches by 3ft while trying to pull out the stuck pipe.

Part I: Calculate the change in hook load.

Part II: If the drill string is made of steel with failure strength of 15,000 psi and an elastic modulus of 30 x 106 psi, will the drill string fail? Justify your answer.

Please show work and steps to find the change in hook load. Thanks.
