So I have a 500kg object being lowered by a crane while two people steady it with ropes pulling on either side. On the left side the rope is being pulled 15 degrees below horizontal with 500N of tension. On the other side the rope is being pulled at an angle of 25 degrees below horizontal. What must the tension be for the rope on the right to keep the object descending at a steady speed? Also what is the tension in the main rope supporting the object?
