Task 1:

Develop a presentation that can be used by yourself during the pre-moderation meeting to discuss the moderation details with the Assessor/s.

Task 2:

Conduct research and develop a best practice guideline of the credible assessment of applied competence.

Your guideline must provide practical examples within your own field of expertise and must be suitable as a tool for training/coaching purposes.

Task 3:

Instructions to the Candidate Moderator:

1. You are required to conduct moderations of outcomes-based assessments and include assessments of candidates with special needs and for RPL cases.

2. Your moderation must cover the assessment instruments, assessment design and methodology, assessment records, assessment decisions, reporting and feedback mechanisms.

3 The Moderation should be carried out for assessments involving a variety of assessment techniques such as work samples, simulations, written items, oral, portfolios and projects.

4 Your moderation activities must include pre-assessment interactions with assessors, interactions during assessments and post-assessment interactions.

5 The moderation must involve at least two sets of real assessment materials for the same standards and at least 5 assessor decisions.

6 Clearly cross reference all the evidence produced and collected for this task and explain the inclusion thereof.

7. File your evidence in a logical sequence in line with the moderation process.

8. Your evidence must how that you are able to moderate in situations where:

Task 4:

4. Your moderation must cover the assessment instruments, assessment design and methodology, assessment records, assessment decisions, reporting and feedback mechanisms.

5. The moderation should be carried out for assessments involving a variety of assessment techniques such as work samples, simulations, written items, oral, portfolios and projects.

6. Your moderation activities must include pre-assessment interactions with the assessor, interactions during assessments and post-assessment interactions.

7. Clearly cross reference all the evidence produced and collected for this task and explain the inclusion thereof.
