I realize that the FIRO-B is a little more challenging to understand than the MBTI type assessments. Refer to the Power Point on Pilot if you need a little bit more information to help you interpret your FIRO-B results. Please look at it prior to answering the questions.

Slides 5-10 will be the most helpful as you work through this assignment.

Part 2

Which of the three areas, Inclusion, Control, or Affection, did you score the highest Need (Wanted)? Refer to the power point (slides 5-10 titled "How others may see you") and reflect on the three statements listed. For example: if you scored the highest on wanted Control, you would go to slide 9 and reflect on the following statements:

1. May perceive any structuring as inadequate

2. May consider standard procedures as important

3. May take sole responsibility as burdensome

I expect a short paragraph on each-enough to give me the flavor of how you feel about it.

One might state the following about statement one above:

I agree with this statement. I am a very structured person. If I am forced to work in an environment that is not structured or organized, it makes me feel very uneasy. In my personal space, everything has a place and everything is in its place. I keep a strict calendar and refer to it many times a day. Without this type of structure, I feel lost.

Do you see any correlation to your personality profile with the results of this assessment? This paper should be no more than two pages total double spaced. If you tied in two areas, pick the one that most reflects how you feel and write about that one for the particular questions. Text or email or call if you have any questions.
