G^0 Cu2 + (aq) = 65.5 kJ/mole

G^0 Al3 + (aq) =-489.4 kJ/mole

(a) Write a balanced equation for the reaction and calculate the deltaGr for the reaction of Cu2+ and Al metal.

(b) Calculate the Keq for the above reaction and calculate the Er or Pe of a sample of the above water given an initial Cu2+ concentration of 1.2

x 10^-3 M and an excess of solid Al
