Progress Check: Research Plan and Introduction
Introduction
The United States of America was attacked by Japan in Pearl Harbor on the morning of December 7th, 1945. President Truman ordered two atomic bombs to be dropped in the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This event marked the greatest scientific achievement in history, lending to the end world war II when Japan surrendered.
The dropping of these bombs was used as an example of what would happen to other countries if they decided to go to war or attack the United States. There were thousands of lives lost during and after the bombings. The Manhattan project atomic bomb investigating group was organized two days after the bombings.
Research plan:
I have saved the links for primary and secondary resources which have become valuable sources when working on this project. I realize I need to cite all work when using primary and secondary resources properly. I plan to user resources that are only available through this course. I have also realized that my primary resources are more precise, short and contain more details when it comes to explaining events of the droppings of the atomic bombs.

The introduction needs to begin with the background information and end with your thesis. As it stands, your thesis is lost in the background material; it does not clearly stand out to the reader.
Also, be sure to edit your paper, checking for things like spelling, word choices, grammar, missing capitalization issues, and appropriate verb tense.
