• Who is the intended audience (i.e. age, gender, socioeconomic status, race)? How can you tell?
• What strategies does the speaker use to engage the intended audience?
• Does the speaker select a topic that is appropriate for the target audience?
• How does the speaker take into account the occasion, location, and audience size?
• What could the speaker do differently to better engage the audience and make the presentation more effective?
