Describe and assess the current state of American military culture. What are its chief strengths? What are its chief weaknesses? Do you feel that this culture nurtures a defense establishment suited to safeguarding this country's security needs? Does American military culture reflect the values of this country or is it at variance with them? If you feel that the latter is the case, does it matter? Are you worried by the fact that so few Americans bear the burden of military service?
