Prison design provides restrictions and relevant authority towards the movement of prisoners in the institution. Prisons facility should be restricted to prevent the prisoners from running away from prison as they would cause harm to the society and will also give police officers a hard time in trying to locate them again. Convicted offenders are being placed on therapy and programs under rehabilitation which focuses on providing programming to discourse needs of offenders that can reduce their risk of criminal behavior and improve their success in the community (Siegel & Bartollas, 2016). Prisons should thereby teach on morals, ethics, and values to all offenders as a way of preventing them from committing crimes in the future.
