According to the above reference, motorsport is the same as the Foot racing, only that the motor vehicles are used. As the same case with the racing, for instance a 100m race which is done at the high school, the same can be referred to as the motorsport if a vehicle is used. However, it is not any vehicle that can be used. The vehicle does not mean cars only. Motorcycles are also used. In general, motorsports can therefore be defined as sports that involves racing of various motor vehicles, the main ones being cars and Motorcycles.

There are various types of motorsports. The motorsports given in this website include the Drag racing which involves racing between two vehicles that are lined up side by side. This is done on an arrow straight strip. Auto test is another type and involves driving the vehicles on a rough area such as car parks or a very smooth area. The driver who uses the minimum time in driving in this area is usually the winner. Other types include Autocross, circuit racing, rally crossing, hill climbing and rallying, to mention a few.
