PART 1.  Must read about the development goal located at the link below. Read more about the goals. "Good Health and Well-being"

https://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/sdg3

PART 2. After reading about the development goal, I want you to present us with a summary of the issue in a large paragraph. You can be as broad or as specific as you like (e.g., improving education for everyone, for college students, or just for girls in certain countries). Give us an idea of the issue, its prevalence, importance, etc. It is important that you use some sort of statistical data in your summary -- and don't forget to provide a citation here. In another short paragraph, you should introduce your mini-survey -- tell us why you'll be asking the questions you've designed. Remember, your target audience is your classmates. Part 1 includes the following:

  • One large paragraph describing social issue with citation(s)
  • One paragraph giving background and justification for survey

PART 3. Compose a mini-survey. List your five variables (e.g., race/ethnic identity, gender, age, etc.), along with their levels of measurement (e.g., nominal, ordinal, etc.), and the question and response categories you would use on your survey (e.g., How would you describe your racial identity?). Make sure that the response categories are both mutually exclusive and exhaustive. Remember, your survey must include:

  • one variable measured at thenominallevel
  • one variable measured at theordinallevel
  • one variable measured at thediscrete interval-ratiolevel variable
  • one variable measured at thecontinuous interval-ratiolevel variable
  • one variable measured at any level of yourchoice

PART 4. In 3-4 sentences, describe a potential relationship you think might emerge between one of your variables and a socio-demographic variable, like gender, race/ethnicity, age, political party identification, political views, and marital status. Make sure you identify which variable is the independent variable and which is the dependent variable in this relationship. Part 4 includes the following:

  • Description of a potential relationship between one of your created variables and one socio-demographic variable, including a brief explanation why and how the two may be related.
  • Correctly and clearly specified independent variable
  • Correctly and clearly specified dependent variable
