My heart was beating so fast my hands were sweaty, I was so nervous for my prom date to pick me up. It feels just like yesterday, getting ready on a Saturday morning for prom. I retrospect putting on my silky glowing peach dress just long enough to cover my expensive silver high-heels. My slightly wavy, rich black hair had shined like the sun as if I were a goddess. My mom collaborate making sure I looked beautiful on my special day. We hear the doorbell ring, and there he was standing in front door step
My mom precipitated to open the door. I heard as he walked and sat on the couch, waiting in my room to be called out felt like century. As I looked at myself for the last time in the mirror I told myself I was going to have a euphoric night with my date. Before I stepped outside my door I put on extra jasmine perfume, I felt sophisticated and confident. As I stepped out walk down the hallway, I felt like if I was walking down the red carpet, the camera flashing in every step I gave. There he was standing firmly with a smile ear to ear with the corsage in his hand. He was red like a tomato as I walked towards him. He was speechless. He was wearing unwrinkled slacks as dark as an unlit road at midnight, long sleeve shirt as white as snow, and silver vest it shined like a quarter fresh out of the press. He looked so handsome. I felt the luckiest girl in the world, I felt as if I was zenith of Mountain Everest.
It was finally time to leave for the dance. When we arrived at the Library Galleria it was embellished with candles, flowers and tables set up with bright silver utensils. It was time for dinner; we had eaten freshly cooked pasta with multiple different kinds of sauces. The food was delicious as I was also careful not to get anything on my dress, since afterwards it was time to dance. The dance floor was crowded with Rosemont classmates having a blast dancing, while the strobe lights were flashing like a lightning storm in winter. It became very hot on the dance floor from everybody dancing for multiple hours' non-stop. My date didn't know how to dance but I didn't relinquish on teaching him. He was scrupulous when we were dancing; I mention to him we were here to have a facetious time and he was infallible dancing to hip-hop music. I instigated on dancing all night long. After the dance was over everybody was sweaty and lethargy, especially us since we didn't stop dancing for three hours straight.
When it was finally time to go home we stopped at a Denny's at midnight for a late night meal to help replenish our bodies from the rigorous night of dancing. We had eaten some delicious pancakes freshly made with some sweet maple syrup to satisfy our stomachs. As we hung out with our gregarious friends at the dinner table we looked at our cameras and scoffed at our funny pictures we had taken. When we got back to my house, my body was drained and felt like I had just ran one-hundred miles. Finally, it was almost two o'clock in the morning and time for my date to go home. I walked him to his truck, he gave me a soft kiss as sweet as strawberries and we said our goodbyes. After being nervous about everything in the beginning, I ended up having one of the best nights of my life with the boy of my dreams and there was nothing more I could possibly ask for.
As I remember back, that night was fan minable. I had never experience butterfly inside my stomach for a kiss. The boy I took to my prom became my best friend but not also that, he became my boyfriend. We've been together almost a year. My fairy tale story came true; I got my prince charming just like in the movies.
