For each lesson you should open up a new Word Document and create an MLA title block with your name, class info, and the lesson title. Next, cut-and-paste the writing prompts from Angel into your document. Answer each question completely and after editing your writing for spelling, grammatical, and formatting errors you can then upload your work into the Module Six Dropbox, located under Module Six Assignments. Please be sure to save your work in the event you might need to resubmit the assignment.
Perform the following tasks:
- Step 1: Choose one of the following topics: My Career is Software engineering
- Summarize an article that deals with some aspect of your chosen career or major. The article may be one about job opportunities in your field, or it may focus on a particular issue central to your field.
- Summarize an article that helps you solve a problem in your life. Whether you are typing to find ways to save more money, impress an interviewer, organize your time, choose an automobile, or eat more nutritiously, dozens of articles await you in the library or on the Internet.
- Write a summary of an article that explores a current social problem such as homelessness, drug abuse, domestic violence, or school violence.
- Step 2: Complete the assignment.
Because articles often vary widely in length, be sure to choose an article substantial enough to lend itself to summarizing. Use a word processor (like MS Word) to write a summary of your chosen topic. Be sure to cite any articles used.
