Momentum and collision - Determination of combined velocity of the object after collision, velocity of the bullet/block after collision and gain of potential energy /loss of Kinetic energy of the block/system after collision.

A 2.50 g bullet travelling at the speed of 425 m/s, strikes the wooden block of a ballistic pendulum, such as that Figure in 7.12. The block has a mass of 215.00 g.
