Making Arguments

This is our first full-fledged argument, though some of our other papers have delved into this territory. Pick a topic that you feel strongly about and, logically, argue your position. (Remember that we meet here in a space of science, so arguments based upon religion or spirituality are not valid for this assignment.) Support your own position, and address, and, if necessary, rebut, any obvious counterarguments. Carefully consider your organizational strategy, which may depend on the popularity of your own position, the number of arguments (and counterarguments) you have, or the audience you are trying to convince.

This paper should be 3-4 pages long(900 words at least). You must use at least three outside sources to support your position. Cite them both in the text and on a Works Cited page in MLA style.

Topic:

I would like to write about the role of journalism in democracy.

People agreed when Wikileaks reported public information. But was releasing private emails too far? I feel strongly that journalists have a responsibility to report information so the public knows what is going on.

Thesis:
How much information leakers should release is a question people debate. Some say giving out leaks is always being a traitor while others say leaks should be taken with care and some hold back. I will talk about the different points of view and argue that journalists have an obligation to report the truth in all cases.

(I need this thesis to be in the introduction)resources must be from mesacc.edu library you can go to it and use the search engine from the eresources.
