Describing the concepts relating temperature and pressure in cooking of foods.

Macaroni and cheese packages specify how long to cook the pasta in boiling water. In general, foods that are cooked at lower temperatures need longer cooking times. On some packages, a longer length of time for cooking the pasta is specified if cooking the pasta at high elevations (for ex above 3,500 ft above sea level). Describe why this is so.
