"Long Distance Relationships"

Long distance relationships have their own ups and downs, just like regular relationship has. However, when it comes to the bottom line, are they really worth it? Yes, they are 100% worth it when true love is involved. If two peoples' love is so strong, no distance should be able to come in their way. Being in a long distance relationship I learned that the distance makes the relationship more unique and special than the ones that most people would think of. We've been classmates and friends starting preschool until 3rd grade after I migrated to Hawaii. After a several years, I met this guy through my cousin, who I found interest in. However, there was only problem; 3,000 miles were in between us. His from the Philippines and I lived here in Hawaii. Although we went through a lot of hardships and difficulties, it was worth it at the end.

Though we didn't see each other much, sometimes I think that's better; it made the time we spent together extra special. It is very difficult to love someone so much and at the same time acknowledge the fact that it isn't possible to physically have them present. While it might not seem that way, these relationships are very special. Since the individuals aren't always together, compassion and affection can't be shown at all times. However, the love between the couple is understood and it is always there. With me, no matter how long I don't see him, that won't stop me from loving him. It will make my love even stronger.

Couples all over the world are trying to keep their relationships intact while a distance separates them. I believe that most important aspect that can keep a couple together is having a strong will. Without the will for success, a relationship will never survive. Because of the absence of seeing the other person, one might become jealous, tempted by others, or selfish. My will for my relationship to work and succeed is what continues to drive it and helps me through tough times when I am not in the nicest of moods, because I know that no matter how upset or down I feel at that moment, it is worth it for the happiness I will have when finally together again. What I always come back to is my will. My strength to persevere comes from a will to succeed, a will to not let distance come between someone so important to me and myself.

Although the long distance causes the relationship to be difficult, it is like a challenge that one must overcome. All of these combined make long distance relationships worth it. There is so much that not only makes long distance relationship worth it, but even better and more elite than most relationships. It contains a unique and exceptional bond that can't be broken because the love is so strong, even while separated by so much. There might be 3,000 miles separating us, but we won't let that break our love.
