In an iodine clock reaction experiment, between iodide ions and persulfate ions, why should the rate orders w.r.t iodide and persulphate ions be integers(and therefore we can round off the experimental value to the closest integers)? I actually performed the experiment,and this is one of the questions posed in the lab manual.
