In lab we are doing chemical kinetics. We started off with 0.7550 M of Oxalic acid and then added water and 0.1300 M of Permanganate. For the first trial, 5 mL of Oxalic acid was used, then 6 mL of water were added and then 1 mL of Permanganate were added. The second trial was 10 mL Oxalic, 1 mL water, and 1 mL Permanganate. The third 5 mL; 5 mL; 2 mL. The point of this experiment is to find the rate order of the reaction. I know this is a dilution problem and I must find the initial and finals concentrations in order to ifnd the rate order. I am just confused on how to find the correct initial and final concentrations. I do not know how to find the initial and final concentrations of permanganate. The final volumes for all three trials is 12 mL. If anyone can please explain to me how to find the correct initial and final concentration of permanganate it would be much appreciated.
