In 1995, the IPCC considered a global average temperature rise of 1.0-3.4 degree celcius likely by the year 2100, with 2.0 degrees its best estimate. Predict the average rise in sea level due to thermal expansion of sea water based on temperature increase of 1.0 degrees, 2.0 degrees and 3.5 degrees celcius given that the volume of the Earth's ocean is 1.37 x 10^9 km^3 and their surface area is 361 x 10^6 km^2, and state the approximations that go into the estimates. I have no idea where to even start?
