Improving Group Communication

Describe a group/team meeting in which you were the leader, member, or observer. Use concepts from the textbook or an article related to working in teams or team building to support your analysis.

If you have not had a chance to be a part of a group, you can analyze the video of a virtual meeting on the Internet, such as the video included in the Suggested Readings.

Answer the following questions in your response:

Classify the type of group and the purpose of the meeting.

Describe specific task, maintenance, or self-centered roles you observed by group members.

How could the leader have enhanced group participation and the overall effectiveness of the meeting?

Were any channels used to communicate with geographically diverse audiences? If so, was the technology used effectively or ineffectively? How could it have been improved?
