1. natural gas is composed mostly of methane ,but it can contain significant amounts (up to 20 %)of ethane ,C2H6;propane,C3H8; butane, C4H10; and carbon dioxide ,CO2. would the presence of these copmonents make the apparent molar mass of natural gas greater or less than that of pure methane CH4?
2. If some air remained in your syringe along with the natural gas sample, would that make your result greater or less than the actual molar mass of natural gas? is the same true for your sample of unknown gas?
