Human nature has two fundamental parts , the good one and the evil one There exists some portion of evil inclinations in all human beings . They cannot escape from these evil inclinations . At most times the evil part of human nature is not visible to all people but it is to some close ones . The study of these dual natures in humans requires extensive study of the psyche involved in such a situation . Many have attempted to describe this altering nature of human beings . Sydney Sheldon has made an effort in describing how powerful the evil inclinations can be through his book 'Tell me your dreams . The story of Sydney Sheldon 's book also revolves around the character of a lady who is not aware of the alterations which occur in her personality . The same subject has been discussed more vividly by Robert Louis Stevenson in his book 'Dr Jekyll and Mr . Hyde . Through these two characters Stevenson has attempted to describe the occurrence of the evil side of man and what it eventually led do . Stevenson plays a significant role in helping people out in understanding the psyche of man and things about the world . As a preparer he first himself explores and comprehends the psyche of man and then presents it to his readers in the form of his writing pieces . The text that Stevenson provides to the reader of his book is the refined form of the understanding of the subjects thinking and character , written in a way which is easily comprehendible for the readers . Stevenson views the world in a sarcastic manner identifying the dual traits existing in the nature of human beings and then describeing them with the help of the characters of Dr . Jekyll and Mr . Hyde

At the end of the story when Dr Jekyll dies due to drinking his potion he feels transformed at that time . Here Stevenson assumes through the character of Dr . Jekyll , that Hyde is smaller because the evil side of him is less built- up . Stevenson proves that the evil side is more natural to the human being . Hence with the death of Dr . Jekyll Stevenson concludes that everyone is made up of both good and evil (Book rags 2006
