Formation Experiment

By the end of our first week on sloth and wrath, you will need to have proposed a formation experiment, which is to be concluded and written up by the time we are finished with these two vices.

This experiment should be something you do on your own time outside of class that is designed to help make you aware of a deadly sin and/or that helps you fight one of these vices in your life.

You can either choose to do a one-time exercise that lasts at least 4 to 5 hours, or you could choose to do something in installments of time such as a half hour activity on 8-10 different days.

I will give you some examples of what you can do when we get close to the experiment proposal deadline.

You will need to write a 3 page reflection describing what you did and processing the experience. The experiment can target lust, gluttony, avarice, sloth, or wrath.
