Question: Mr. Harris had a friend who was a plumber who kindly purchased some guttering so that Mr. Harris could replace the guttering of his house but not have to spend as much money. Startco in Toowoomba had a 20% off sale on guttering that was $60 per five meter length. Mr. Harris needed 65 meters for his house. His friend could get a further tradesman’s discount of another 15% on top of the sale price. How much did Mr. Harris have to pay back to his plumber friend? Show some work.
