Question: Explain the velocity of two different objects: heavy rock & light feather. 1st, describe what happens when the two objects are dropped on Earth. 2nd, compare this to what happens on the Moon (make sure to refer to the movie found on the web site which shows a NASA astronaut doing this experiment on the Moon). Finally, find a cotton ball & rock that are about the same size & drop them. Then place them in two boxes with the exact same size, shape, & material. Drop them again. What do you find? Explain your findings in terms of air resistance before placing the objects in the container & after placing those in the container (i.e. try a cylindrical 35mm film holder).
