Prepare 100 mL of a HEPES buffer that has pH = 7.50 and is 90 mM in HEPES. Dissolve the appropiate amount of HEPES (sodium salt) (formula weight is 260.31) in water to an approxiamte volume of 60 mL in a 150 mL beaker that is equipped with a stirring bar. Standardize the pH meter. Then insert the pH electode and titrate the pH to 7.5 +/- .01 using 1.0 M HCl in a Pasteur pipet.
