Discussion 1 - Discuss in 150 + Words with in text citations - Analyze article on Self-Esteem and Bullying People with high self-esteem may believe they are above the law and can do anything they want. The following article provides a perspective on narcissism, bullying and self-esteem.

Bullying is a behavior seen by those with high self-esteem..or higher than average self-esteem. Hitler is an example of a person with higher than average self-esteem. Throughout much research on Hitler, he was never found to have anything other than higher than usual self-esteem. My thought is that his profile fits what this article demonstrates very well. I am interested in knowing your thoughts.

Please follow this link to an article on high self-esteem and bullying:

One of the big ideas of social psychology is that our behavior us biologically rooted, yet, our behavior has environmental influences, also. This brings up how nurture and nature play a role in our lives and brings up the old debate of nature vs nurture. Both nature (biological influences) and nurture (social, environmental influences) have a part in determining who we are. I am sure you have visited the nature vs. nurture debate before, yet let's explore this by looking at an article.

Here is the article to consider on the nature versus nurture debate. Please follow this link to the article on nature vs. nurture: http://genealogy.about.com/cs/geneticgenealogy/a/nature_nurture.htm

After reading the article, answer the following questions:

What arguments were made for nature (biological factors)? What arguments were made for nurture (social factors)? What concept does the author seem to think is the strongest in deciding who we are? What are your thoughts on this?
