Defining my SMART Goals

The SMART Goals worksheet helped me define my goal to get the training and education to better perform my duties as an Infection Prevention nurse at the hospital I currently work at. By following the SMART Worksheet it assisted me in defining how I could achieve each step.

S-specific; to achieve the desired result I will enroll in a BSN program

M-measurable: I will complete each lesson assigned in each course until complete

A-Achievable: the skills required to achieve this goal is time management, good work ethic. I can achieve by spending the time required galson each lesson. on each lesson. 

R-Relevant: by obtain the gal will enable me to refine my skill and make me more efficient in performing of my duties as Infection Prevention Nurse. obtain the gal will enable me to refine my skill and make me more efficient in performing of my duties as Infection Prevention Nurse.

T-Time-bound: My deadline to obtain my goal is January 2019. This time frame agives me enough time goal. llows

My final goal is to further my education by obtaining my Certification in Infection Control (CIC) by 2020.

Setting achievable goal one at a time is a rewarding experience. These short-term goals are easily achieved and you are able to check them off one by one. As I complete each assignment, I feel like the first step as begun and each accomplishment moves me closer and closer to the end results. As stated in Lesson 4 receiving an education is very important to me and the achieving SMART Goals is the starting point and achieving these goals result is just that. Accomplishing each goal brings me one step closer to receiving my BSN.
