Complete a mini-study where you collect data using the observation method. You will then analyze and report your findings to class. Write a 2 page reflection paper on the advantages and disadvantages of the observation method. Review rubric prior to writing paper.

• Collect data from a fast food restaurant on seating arrangements by race or gender.
• Collect data from a University or College student center on seating arrangements by race or gender.
• Collect data in a classroom on class participation by race or gender.
• Collect data from elevators on campus identifying how people stand (either facing the door or with back turned toward the door) or whether conversations continue.
