Community-based Organization Analysis

CONTENT:

Select and research one community based organization (non profit type agency) that works to resolve a social issue or problem. For each item below, please respond in well shaped and well developed paragraphs (at least one paragraph/item).

1. Define and describe the social issue/problem the agency addresses and the negative impact on the community.

2. How do they attempt to resolve or address the issue? What do they do?

3. What kinds of "call to action" does this organization use? In other words, what do they ask the public to do? And how do they attempt to persuade people to get involved?

4. In what ways do they establish a connection with the community?What kinds of shared values are established? How does the organization establish shared values with the public?

FORMAT: strong paragraph format (at least four paragraphs total); typed; double-spaced; 12 point font; 1" margins. MLA format for in-text citations and on works cited.

Look for an environmental health and safety organization since that is my major. but feel free to find any non profit agency if its convinient.
