Check the grammar error and sentences structure in given part #2, and rewrite #3 a) and b).

#2) There are several other socioeconomic variables that also related to education level. Firstly, the most significant variable is family income. In Canada, students enjoy 12 years compulsory education, however, when they move to the post-secondary education, students need to pay amount of funds for education. Since most of the students are not self-reliance at that and need to rely on their parents, some families cannot avoid the high tuition fee. Choose University of Waterloo as an example, the average tuition fee is $6500 per semester, whereas the Universities like University of Toronto that located in the inner city has average of tuition fee of $8000. Therefore, for those families which have low incomes, probably send their children to workplaces rather than continue education.

The second variable is social class, which means the people you get along with every day. Individuals are easy to be influence by the person that they stay with. From author's own experience, during grade nine to eleven, the students in the secondary school I attended were mostly end up with high school or colleges and my average was just around 80 at that time. However, in grade 12, I changed to a high school that 90 percent of student went to universities. Effect by those students, my average finally achieved 90 percent when I graduated from high school. Moreover, the family's living location related closely with family incomes, the people who have the similar incomes likely to live at the same location. Since children only can go to the high schools that in their living region, people will get into different social class when they have different of location to live. Therefore, the social class effect the individual's education level as well.

#3 a) this is the municipal GIS system for the city of Kitchener:

The municipal GIS system for the city of Kitchener provides many benefits for the general public:

  • This map is split into ‘wards,' which enables the viewer to focus on specific zones within the city.
  • The map gallery provides a raster image (more realistic look) of green space and type of infrastructure within ward zones.
  • The ‘interactive map' provides data of locations through addresses, attractive locations, zoning laws and more.
  • Clicking on ‘I' (in tools) and then a specific property will provide extensive information about the property usage, land, owners and laws.
  • This technology is very flexible as one can find spatial data through other tabs like planning (sub divisions), specific neighborhoods and future operations.
  • The data is organized in alphabetical and numerical order so it is easier for viewers to understand.
  • In the bottom of the site, charts enable users to manage information, track measurements, and collect history of overall spatial analysis.

b) ?In a situation where a specific Kitchener hospital is receiving abundant patients with asthma, professions in the public health and planning sector can utilize GIS systems to analyze regions in proximity to this hospital. They can send surveys to different homes in order to interpret neighborhoods with a higher risk, disease patterns, and other environmental factors in the region (like pollution, or water systems).

This information would be tracked through ‘addresses' in Kitchener's GIS system. Similarly, professionals can also forecast demographics by going in the locations tab and clicking "I" to get more information on population patterns. This information is essential since it can indicate what age groups are most likely to get disease, gender types, and track how this ‘asthma problem' will effect the overall growth/decrease of the population. Like this example, a range of businesses, and the general public use GIS systems to save time/resources, and discover data that is foundational for decision-making.
