In the emission spectrum of hydrogen, the transitions observed in this experiment (we did a lab looking at the color of metal salts and flames and determining the wavelength from the spectroscope info) are in the visible region corresponding to the Balmer series. In other series, including Lyman, Paschen, Bracket, and Pfund emission lines are present in different regions of the electromagnetic specrum. Calculate the wavelength of the n=4 to n=1 and the n=4 to n=3 transitions. Indicate in which regions of the electromagnetic spectrum these transitions would occur.
Not sure if solving this in according to the different series changes the way you do it. And how do you know the regions? Explanations and steps are appreciated
