•Use the four steps to critiquing art that are found in Chapter 9 of the Embracing Art textbook to develop a critique of the work. Be sure that you write a well-developed paragraph on each of the four areas, pointing to specific areas in the painting in your explanation:

-Description: Give the facts about the work of art.

-Analysis: Describe some of the elements of art and principles of design that are used.

-Interpretation: After researching the work of art, what do you feel the message of the work is?

-Evaluation: Based on everything you just described, you will give your own evaluation of the work and determine if the work deserves to be called a work of art.
