Your Response Paper should answer the following questions:

Part One:

- Write a two-page essay in which you talk about two-three things you learned about the final week of Jesus' life from reading the book. What did you not know before reading this book? What did you not think about before reading this book? Is there anything that surprised you when you read it? In your answer, please share quotes from the book to support your answer.

Part Two:

Write a three-page essay answering the following questions:

- Has your understanding of Jesus - your way of seeing Jesus - been affected by reading this book? If so, how? If no, why not?

- Has reading this book affected your understanding of the Christian life and what it means to take it seriously? If so, in what way? If no, why not?

- In the preface to the book, Borg and Crossan quote the novelist Flannery O'Connor when they state, "we live in a ‘Christ-haunted' culture" (p. vii). After reading this book, do you agree with O'Connor's conclusion? Defend/support your answer.
