Question 1. Describe a time when you have worked on a high-performing team, and describe the organizational climate of the organization in which the team operated. If you have never worked on a high-performing team, describe how you think the climate and/or culture of your current organization would support the development of teams.

Question 2. Immigration was a hot topic during this time period, and it remains a hot topic today. In what ways does immigration continue to shape our nation? Elaborate on your thoughts.

Research Paper

Write a research paper that analyzes methods used to appropriately manage groups and teams. In your paper, be sure to include the following:

- Discuss the process of evolving a group into a team and the importance of organizational culture in that process.

- Evaluate the leadership styles that are effective for managing groups and teams, including unique considerations for leading multicultural teams.

- Describe the benefits and drawbacks of having groups or teams in terms of groupthink vs. teamthink.

Be sure to follow the guidelines below:

- Your introduction should engage the reader and clearly present the thesis and a summary of the main points to clarify your point of view.
- Review of literature should present a critical analysis and synthesis of the existing research.
- Discussion should reveal insightful analysis of research.
- A summary should be present that reviews or summarizes key points and provides a smooth transition between sections.
- Writing should be clear and concise with correct use of sentence structure and should be free of grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors.
- Your paper should be at least four pages in length.
- You must also use at least five outside sources to support assertions and conclusions.
- All sources used must be referenced; paraphrased and quoted material must have accompanying citations in APA format.

Scholarly Activity

Prepare a tribute focusing on Frederick Douglass relevance to today. This is not a biography. Your argument should highlight how society remembers your historical figure now, based on the philosophies and ideals he or she presented or helped to change and evolve.

The style of this project is a multimedia presentation with both audio and video components; however, the medium used is up to you. Potential examples include, but are not limited to, a videotaped speech, a self-guided PowerPoint presentation, or a video with audio. .

- Prepare and submit a two-page reflection, ideally based on the outline assignment from assignment.
- Create and submit a visual presentation with your reflection as an audio transcript.
- Use a minimum two sources (at least one from the American History& Life database).
- Proper citations and references for any use or identification of those sources must be used.
- Length must fall within three to five minutes; in the case of PowerPoint, slides and audio should progress and stop automatically like a taped presentation.
- Content accuracy and avoidance of anachronism are a must.

Many options exist to which you could use to make your recording, such as the following:

- Online Voice Recorder-
- Ipadio-
- Webcam file and upload to YouTube.
- Microsoft PowerPoint.

Alternatively, you can search for other programs/ways to make your recording to upload.

Once you have completed your recording, save the file to upload, or include a link to YouTube or whichever website you chose to post it.
