Analyze an Advertisement:

• Draft: As we discussed in class, post the draft of your "Analyze an Advertisement" paper in Google Docs and then share that link in Blackboard's Discussion Board "Analyze an Advertisement Paper Draft." If you need help, read "How to Create a Google Doc and Post to the Discussion Board."

• The minimum word count for the draft is 250 words. The minimum word count for the final draft is 500 words. You are encouraged to make your draft a minimum of 500 words as this will allow the maximum opportunity for editing.

• The paper is due on Monday, April 23 at 11:59 pm

Reminder of the Details of the Assignment:

• Pick out an advertisement and analyze it. Think about:

o Who is the audience?
o What colors are they using? Why did they choose them?
o What emotions are they trying to convey?
o Why did they choose the images in the advertisement?
o What do you think people think of when they see the advertisement?
o What would you do differently?
o What other analysis would you like to share?

• The advertisement must

o Be a print advertisement (newspaper or magazine) or an online advertisement. It cannot be a video.
o Be in English.
o Have pictures. (It can't only be words.)

• For this assignment: Write a minimum of 250 words. Ultimately, you will be writing a paper that is 500 words about an advertisement so you may want to write more words in this assignment.
