B. Explain how Baroque art begins as Catholic Counter-Reformation art. How is the art made during this time responding to the demands of the Catholic Church? Explain what the Church wanted from art, why they wanted it, and how the work of the Baroque artists fulfill that desire. What were the new levels of realism introduced by the Baroque artists?
