ASSIGNMENT RHETORICAL DIAGNOSTIC (due date Sunday 9/11 midnight is ok)

Write exactly a 1-page (approx. 300 words) persuasive letter or essay.

Title: Modern culture is ruining childhood.

Mission: Use persuasion to try and get a response out of someone.

Goal: The goal here is to persuade. Make your point, and then develop the point. You develop a point by explaining the point, and using examples and illustrations as evidence of your point.

THIS IS CALLED YOUR RHETORIC or how to express yourself to achieve a certain end.

Audience: Write in a first person or third person point of view. This assignment is also designed to strengthen your ability to use your own voice. Be honest and clear. Keep it tight & direct.

1. This assignment needs to be exactly one page long. This is a requirement. When I say exactly one page, I mean it. The purpose of this requirement is for you to think about revision and to see if you can follow directions. Again, the last word should end at the end of the page. Is this clear?
