Why did the Cold War break out and who is responsible - the US and its running dog lackeys or the USSR and its crime boss cronies?

Write a respond to the classmate post based on your thought and answer (Are you agree/disagree, what you like/dislike and Why?)

After WWII ended and the former allies that fought against Germany to ensure world peace were starting to become suspicious of one another. The alliance between Soviet Union and the United States developed into a rivalry of the world's two superpowers. In 1948 the Soviet Union placed left wing governments in Eastern European countries that had formerly been liberated by the Red Army.

Both Britain and the United States feared the Soviet Union's expansion of communism, and they feared the Soviet Union's domination over Eastern Europe. The Soviet Union on the other hand was intent on spreading communism and to use communism as a form to protect themselves from any possible future German threats.

The Soviet Union was also determined to spread communism worldwide because it was ideological for them. As the Stalin was well on his way to spread communism and to take over countries in Europe do to so, the United States came up with the Marshall Plan. The Marshall Plan was designed to reconstruct Western European countries that were destroyed from the effects of the war. The Marshall Plan was seen by the Soviets as a threat, and they stated that the Americans were seeking global domination which is known as the Zhdanov Doctrine.

The Americans responded to this doctrine with the "Long Telegram", and the United States became intent on containing communism. I believe that the Cold War started as a result of the ideas both the United States, and the Soviet Union had after the second world war for Europe did not line up with one another.

The Soviet Union wanted to spread communism in the hopes to prevent any future threat from Germany, but more importantly the Soviets wanted to expand communism for their own ideal views of the world and their domination of it. The United States and Britain did not fancy the idea of the spread of communism and that the Soviet Union would try dominate the world. Basically, the Cold War started as a clash of the two nations ideas.

They both saw one another as a threat, and that has resulted in the beginning of the Cold War. I personally believe that the Soviet Union was mostly to blame for the outbreak of the Cold War. If the Soviets did not try to spread communism and take over other countries to dominate than the United States would not have viewed the Soviet Union as a threat, and the Cold War would not have happened.
