An important part of this position paper is to summarize and describe weaknesses in your opponent's views. In Tyler Ohmann's position paper, "Allowing Guns on Campus Will Prevent Shootings, Rape," (pp. 223-225), his position is that guns should be allowed on campus for self-defense. He describes his opponents' two points of contention: the Second Amendment cannot be interpreted as the right to bear arms and guns create an uncomfortable environment on campus.
