In this unit, we have moved away from reading creative non-fiction essays and started reading news articles (still non-fiction, but not creative). Therefore, the content of your posts will change for this DB. You will want to address the following questions in your post:

1. What is the title of your article and who is the author?

2. What FOLDER in the Unit 3 readings folder did your article come from?

3. What is the MAIN IDEA of the article? What is the "food problem" that the author is addressing?

4. What evidence does the author provide to back up his/her claim about the food problem?

5. Are there any direct quotations or statistics that you found particularly interesting, shocking, compelling?

6. What is your ANALYSIS of this problem? For example, you might think about discussing why this problem is something we should pay attention to. You might also think about discussing how you could write about this topic in a research essay - meaning, how does this article kick-start your research and where could you go from here. You could also address what you'd like to know more about. Is there something in the article that needs more elaboration? If this is a problem you're interested in exploring for a research essay, could you offer some potential solutions to this problem?
