To what degree is our view of them as victims colored by their desire for death, if that seems partly to motivate them?

Not only are Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all monotheistic religions, but because of their influences on each other, they can be said--theoretically at least--to have the same god (they are often called the three Abrahamic faiths).
