1. How would you explain the importance of business rules in database design?

Business rule is a brief, precise, and unambiguous description of a policy, procedure, or principle within a specific organization. In a sense, business rules are misnamed: they apply to any organization, large or small a business, a government unit, a religious group, or a research laboratory that stores and uses data to generate information. (Coronel/Morris2015) Business rules are import in database design because it is used to define entities, attributes, relationships, and constraints within the business. These rules derived from a detailed description of an organization's operations help to create and enforce actions within that organization's environment. The business rules should also be easy to understand to ensure that every person in the organization shares a common interpretation of the rules. The business rule keeps the organization true and keeps the database consistent and eliminates redundant information. The business rules allow the designer to understand the business process.

What tables would you create, and what would be the entity names and attribute names?

I would have two tables one will be the primary key table and the other will be the foreign key. The primary key table will be name­­­­­­ creations the attribute of this table are: ID number for the seller, seller, address of seller and the phone number of the seller. The second table will be the foreign key due to the seller can make multiple products. The table name will be products the attributes are: Name of the product, number of products made, trade show it was sold and he owner ID of the product.

What are the business rules that must be considered in this design?

I would say the translating business rules into data model components because you will go with the relationship of one-to-many due to the seller is able to make multiple products but can only sell at one trade show at a time. With using this rule it will allow you to keep up with each seller product that has been created. This rule will allow you to see how many products are being sold by that seller and at which trade show.
