1. Choose a computer pioneer from the list below. If you have someone else in mind, please ask for approval first.

Choosing someone who is not on the list without authorization will result in a 10 point deduction!

2. Research and write an annotated bibliography. Use at least three reliable references to create MLA style citations references. At least one must be from a library database(!); the other two may be from online databases or a library database. Under each citation, write your annotation. An annotation is 3-5 sentences explaining why the article is a good source and what you found useful in it. You do not need to turn in the articles themselves. This step should be typed using MS Word and avoid grammatical and spelling errors.

3. Create a bulleted list (using MS Word) with answers to the following questions, with regards to your selected pioneer:

a. Date of Birth/Death (if applicable)
b. Country of Origin
c. Educational Background
d. What he/she contributed to society
e. People he/she worked with or influenced
f. Quote (from the pioneer)
g. One interesting "trivia" fact

4. On a separate page, type two to three paragraphs answering the following questions:

a. Why is information literacy important
b. What tools did you fine most useful in your research?
c. What did you find most frustrating during your research?
