4. If $4,000 is invested in a bank account at an interest rate of 7 per cent per year, find the amount in the bank after 9 years if interest is compounded annually, quarterly, monthly, and continuously.

5. Find the annual percentage yield (APY) for a savings account with annual percentage rate of 3% compounded quarterly.

6. In 1968, the U.S. minimum wage was $1.60 per hour. In 1976, the minimum wage was $2.30 per hour. Assume the minimum wage grows according to an exponential model w(t) , where t represents the time in years after 1960. [UW]
