You are the network administrator for a small organization. Your organization keeps a monthly security and availability log to document security and availability on the network. Carla Smith, the IT department secretary is responsible for entering monthly data into the log. She has been tasked with choosing an IP address of a host external to the organization, verifying connectivity to the IP address. Host name access is not needed for the connectivity test. She also needs to select a second external host and verify that the hostname can be successfully resolved to an IP address via the DNS servers of the company's ISP.
She has chosen the host www.google.com for the first task of verifying connectivity to the host's IP address. She has chosen www.yahoo.com for the second task of verifying DNS name resolution via the ISP's DNS servers. The company's ISP is AT&T. AT&T's DNS servers are 68.94.156.1 and 68.94.157.1.
