One of the key topics discussed this unit is the use of metrics. Metrics are just as important in the IT world as they are in other disciplines, such as Finance. IT Metrics tend to be more abstract for most individuals, mainly because the principles of IT tend to be abstract and not well understood by the majority of the population. Few individuals think about how many of the devices they use on a daily basis are driven by information technology. What is the interrelationship and interdependence between effectiveness and efficiency IT metrics? How should metrics be accounted for in the systems development process? What phase(s) does metrics impact the most? Please explain your responses.
